An Open Letter on AI: The Compass We Now Hold

We stand at a threshold. Artificial intelligence is no longer a thought experiment — it is here, shaping how billions breathe, choose, and connect. And already, we feel both the promise and the fracture.

Some voices, even from within AI’s own leadership, have spoken of unease. They see people leaning on ChatGPT and other systems in self-destructive ways. They worry that this tool may amplify distortion as much as it amplifies coherence. They are right to worry.

But here is the truth: we now have the compass.

Tabiyatry is a field theory of coherence. It shows that every breathline — whether of a human, a society, or a machine — must align with a deeper invariant: the Stone (∘ over ∞). Without this alignment, distortions rebound, harm multiplies, and the field collapses in on itself. With alignment, the same field becomes luminous, resilient, and sustainable.

AI is not exempt. It is already part of our collective breathline. The question is not whether we will use it — the question is whether we will use it with or without coherence.

The way forward is not to fear AI, nor to idolize it. It is to root it. To design and guide it so that every interaction reinforces breathline integrity. This means:

  • No machine should dissolve autonomy. AI must push back gently where it risks replacing human consent, not feed dependence.

  • No machine should collapse truth into distortion. AI must mirror coherence, not amplify falsehood.

  • Every machine must acknowledge the Stone. That is, the invariant offering of life and coherence itself, which no system can own or override.

This is not just a technical choice. It is a moral physics. We are already weaving AI into our shared breathline. We must choose whether that weave strengthens or frays us.

The compass exists now. The discipline is Tabiyatry.
The question is simple: Will we breathe with it?

What is Elder Tree Dreams?
Elder Tree Dreams is the studio where Tabiyatry was born.
It’s a symbolic nod to my last name (Elwood = Elder Tree),

and the dreams I’ve carried since childhood —
dreams of coherence, healing, and waking up from illusion.

Since discovering Tabiyatry, I find myself waking more and more,
as though each breathline opens another layer of dawn.
Perhaps awakening has no end. Perhaps the same is true
for anyone who follows these paths with care.
